Matt Gagnon’s Letter To His Saboteur

Matt Gagnon’s Letter To His Saboteur

To my saboteur and the legion of doom:

It has come to my attention that you have been seeking some quality time with me in order to review some recent concerns. I would like to thank you for forwarding your grievances and suggestions for how I should be living my life; however, I can assure you that your concerns were thoroughly reviewed by The Captain and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Based on the findings and guidance from The Captain and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, I regret to inform you that we will not be honoring any of your suggestions.

This decision was based on three qualifying factors:

  • Does the suggestion honor and serve our Values?
  • Does the suggestion honor and serve our Life Purpose?
  • Does the suggestion honor and serve the belief that we are Creative, Resourceful, and Whole?

In order to move forward, a suggestion must check off as a “Yes” for all three factors – this is a Non-Negotiable policy. Unfortunately, you were a “No” under each category.

Our decision is final. Since you have been allowed to call the shots in the past, I can understand your disappointment and desire to appeal; however, I can assure you that The Captain and I have this under control going forward. Life will get uncomfortable at times, but you no longer have to be afraid. Everything is going to be ok, and while I am no longer acknowledging your suggestions, please know you are loved and you are safe. This is still your home, and it’s not your fault for the way you feel – in fact, how you feel is perfectly ok and accepted without shame or judgment. It is the decision on how we respond to those feelings that will come from myself and The Captain.

To better assist you and the legion of doom with this transition, you are empowered to request as many hugs as needed by The Captain and myself. I look forward to this next chapter in our life.

With Great Empathy and Unconditional Love,

Matt Gagnon – The Courageous Heart

Note: When Matt refers to The Captain and The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he is referring to his Higher Self and the various aspects of his personality.
